Review of the shop
Amazing computer...
Pros: Light-weight fast moving.. my favorite computer ever!!!
Cons: 120gb seemed big at the time... but w/vista and Zune and Photography .. not so much...
Summary: I bought this computer as a close out from Best Buy 4/22/07 for $899 with it they GAVE me a $200 gift card (which I prudently used to purchase the 3 year service plan (for another $120).
I say prudently because the only major problem I've had with it is the fact that I dropped it and cracked the lcd screen... But fortunately that is covered (once!). Since I waited to purchase it, I didn't have the upgrade issues others mentioned--all went smoothly. I have VISTA restore disks. I am currently suffering from post-partum depression because I am missing my "baby." whilst the Geek Squaders do what they can for it.
The only problem other than my clumsiness--is that I've taken up digital photography and acquired a 30gb Zune. The storage issues on a 120 gb hd with VISTA (a full-figured gal of a program if ever there was one!)are obvious. I've resolved these by buying a 750 gb portable hard drive to plug into one of its plentiful usb 2.0 ports--I also used it to back up all my information BEFORE I took it to the GeekSquadders... (who wanted to charge me $160+ to do this for me). HAH!
I love my toshiba and have referred my mother and one of my co-workers to a 15" Toshiba with a 250 gb hard drive which each love madly. They are light weight, wicked fast and as long as you're not doing heavy duty gaming... they're great!
